About Murchison Falls National Park
The largest national park in Uganda,76 species of mammals and 450 species of birds are recorded. It is known for the Nile River which flows in the middle of the park and Murchison Falls, which are 40m high, also the narrowest point of the river. Savannah in the north bank is a home to large mammals like lions and elephants, River Nile is home to birds, crocodiles and hippos.
