We wish to update the COVID-19 restriction in Uganda as the government has made an announcement on 30th July 2021 as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prohibited activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Curfew is from 7:00pm to 5:30am the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Places of worship, schools, cinema, theater, casino, betting, bars, gym, sauna and steam bath remain closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Performing artists, concerts and comedians are advised to perform virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Meetings, conferences, workshops and seminars but possible with permission from the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Permitted business activities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Transportation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Private cars with 2 passengers, commuter bus with half of the passenger capacity, bike taxi until 6pm, cargo trucks with 1 passenger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Business centers, food service industry and beauty parlors are allowed to open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Weddings, funerals are allowed with up to 20 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
